ABOUT ME

I provide evidence-based therapy to children, youth, and adults. My areas of specialization include gender affirmative therapy for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) youth and adults, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders and depression, and therapy for individuals and families coping with medical illness. I also love supporting parents with issues such as sleep, feeding, toileting, and behavior management.

I work with my clients and their families in a collaborative manner. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of evidence-based strategies to help each client meet their goals, improve their functioning, and feel more resilient when challenges arise.

In addition to my private practice, I am the Director of Behavioral Health for the UCLA Gender Health Program where I have worked with transgender and gender diverse folks of all ages since the program was founded in 2016. I have provided gender affirmative psychotherapy, interdisciplinary consultation, and teaching as part of this program, and offer these services in my private practice as well.

I have trained and worked as a pediatric psychologist helping youth and adults coping with chronic illnesses such as cancer, organ transplant, and diabetes for over 10 years. I have worked at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Prior to starting my private practice I worked in integrated primary care at the UCLA Medicine-Pediatrics Comprehensive Care Center (MPCCC) from 2013 until 2019, and as part of the inpatient Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison service at UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica from 2014 until 2019.

I completed my predoctoral internship at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute where I received training in behavioral medicine, exposure and response prevention (E/RP) for OCD, trauma focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TFCBT), and family therapy. I continued my behavioral medicine training during my fellowship at Stanford University where I supported youth and young adults undergoing cancer treatment and solid organ transplants.

I love connecting with new clients and their families and am happy to answer any questions that you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, I look forward to hearing from you.
